When Terry McLaurin was coming out of Ohio State. Every scout and NFL executive seemed to like McLaurin. That’s why it was shocking when he fell all the way to the third round. But Washington has to be happy with how things played out. Because not only did they get him for a steal. Washington has also named McLaurin one of the captains of their team. This is a promotion and it lets us know that the Washington Football Team values him now more than ever. They want McLaurin to be a lightning rod for them on game day. And with all of the plays he’s made. We shouldn’t expect anything less from McLauren. If Kyle Allen throws a pass out in front of McLaurin. He’s fast enough to run underneath it. Then there’s McLaurin’s ability to high-point the football. On those plays his poise is incredible. In order to make an acrobatic catch you have to possess unbelievable body control. McLaurin has shown that’s not problem and he’s also a technician when it comes to his route-running. He makes cornerbacks think the exact opposite of what’s really happening. When you combine all of those skills together and also add in his desire to compete. It makes perfect sense why Washington is putting their fate in McLaurin’s hands. Ron Rivera believes he’ll set the tone when the time comes.
