Author: Jon Kuzma

The Cowboys and 49ers rivalry goes back a long time. You think about Dwight Clark’s catch in the back of the end zone. You think about Joe Montana outdueling Danny White. But in the 90s it took a different turn. That was the Jerry Rice vs Deion Sanders era and whoever won that playoff game almost always went on to win the Super Bowl. The rivalry went dead a little bit after the 90s. That was the case until last year. When these two teams met in the NFC Wildcard. That game did 41 million viewers. It was a ratings gold mine for the league. So you know the NFL is happy that these two teams will meet again in an even bigger game. The stakes are even higher with it being a divisional round matchup. There’s going to be a lot of people watching this one. It’s going to have a real shot at topping 41 million viewers.
