Did Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard pick up the slack for the Cowboys?

I think Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard are responsible for the Cowboys success. Think about early on in the season. Dak Prescott went down with a thumb injury. The Cowboys had to start Cooper Rush. Yet this team kept winning. It’s because Ezekiel Elliott sets the tone and Tony Pollard provides the explosive plays. So when you have two guys that are both star players at the running back position. It creates some unique advantages in the sport of football. Think about all of those times Elliott wore down the defense. Then Pollard came in to face a bunch of fatigued defenders. You already know that plays into the Cowboys hands. Which is why they’re funneling so much of their offense through the running game.
