Grow and Care for Aloe Vera Indoors and Out
Pick the Right Pot: To avoid waterlogging, use a pot or container with drainage holes that drains efficiently.
Use a cactus or succulent-specific potting mix, or make your own by including perlite or sand to conventional potting soil to improve drainage.
Location: Choose an area with bright, indirect sunlight for your indoor aloe vera plant. It's best to place a windowsill facing south or west.
When watering, let the soil entirely dry out in between applications. Only water until the top inch of soil feels dry
Aloe vera grows well in USDA hardiness zones 9 to 11. Consider growing it in a container that you can bring indoors during the winter
Aloe vera should be planted in well-draining soil with a pH range of slightly acidic to neutral.
sunshine: Place your aloe vera where it will get some to a lot of sunshine. Outside, it can withstand more direct sunlight than inside.
Watering: Water your outdoor aloe vera in moderation, particularly while it is growing. They can withstand drought and would rather dry out
Frost protection: If you live in a colder area, cover your aloe vera plants or bring them inside during cold snaps.
